Project Summary

The Trues Brook Road Bridge had many deficient and functionally obsolete characteristics, including extremely poor roadway alignment and the bridge being too narrow for everyday use, which in conjunction with the deteriorated condition, led to the replacement of the bridge.

Hoyle, Tanner provided design engineering services to replace the structurally deficient, functionally obsolete existing bridge with a new weathering steel plate girder bridge. The bridge is a 100 foot single span bridge crossing the deep gorge of Bloods Brook. Funding for this project was through the NHDOT Municipal Bridge Aid Program
