Project Summary

Hoyle, Tanner led the effort to revise the Lebanon Airport Master Plan with a significant emphasis on finding solutions to the airport’s non-standard Runway Safety Areas. The study addressed issues relating to the timing of proposed development, costs for development, methods of financing, management options, and a clear plan of action.

Key issues and study elements included the revision of aviation activity forecasts, establishment of the future commercial service fleet; re-evaluation of the critical/design aircraft; comprehensive runway length analysis; assessment of the various runway configuration alternatives (including significant environmental analyses); determination of the best approach to meet the required runway safety area requirements; and update of the 2001 Airport Layout Plan. The study also included an economic analysis, physical assets evaluation, the development of an Airport Business Plan, and a Governance Analysis, as related to supporting community needs.
