Project Summary

This project consisted of deck end rehabilitation of two severely skewed bridges carrying I-95 NB & SB over the B&M Railroad. Goals of the project included maintaining three lanes of traffic Northbound and Southbound; construct deck-over-backwall condition to eliminate expansion joints and replacing the existing bridge rail. Winter construction was required as the bridge sees over 100,000 vehicles per day in the summer months.

Rehabilitation included removal of existing expansion joints and replacement with deck over backwall as well as removal and replacement of bridge rail and minor deck repairs.
