Hoyle, Tanner provided a wide range of transportation engineering services to the Community College System of New Hampshire on their Manchester campus. Our services provided include: an Integrated Site Wide Drainage Plan, design of improvements to the campus access driveway, and environmental permitting.
For the Integrated Site Wide Drainage Plan, we compiled and reviewed the available drainage reports, conducted a topographic survey, conducted field investigation of the existing drainage system, utilized HydroCAD to model the watersheds and determine the capacity of the existing drainage system, recommended improvements, and prepared a report summarizing the work.
The results of the Integrated Site Wide Drainage Plan, a subsurface geotechnical investigation, and a Road Safety Audit were used to design improvements to the Campus Driveway and its intersection with Front Street. These improvements addressed the drainage, driveway pavement condition, and traffic operation and safety deficiencies. Hoyle, Tanner provided assistance with the bidding and construction administration.
Hoyle, Tanner was tasked with developing a NHDES Alternation of Terrain (AoT) Permit for the Manchester Community College Campus (MCC) Student Center Addition. The AoT permit enabled MCC to proceed with its planned expansion.
