Situated in the area of the beautiful Lake Tsala Apopka chain of lakes, the City of Inverness continued with their downtown revitalization project by reconstructing Dampier Street. This project revitalized three blocks of this eventful downtown street.
Hoyle, Tanner provided planning, design and permitting services for the reconstruction of the roadway, waterlines, curbing, sidewalks, benches, decorative lighting and landscaping. Two major portions of this project include the landscaped median and roadway speed table which were included in the project to highlight the entrance into Wallace Brooks Park, a half-acre parcel of land bordering the Withlacoochee State Trail.
Funding for this project came from multiple sources including: federal grants, Transportation Impact Fees, Inverness Community Redevelopment Agency funds and City capital improvement funds.
