Project Summary

Due to the 6% grade the existing pea stone path was not performing well during times of heavy stormwater runoff. Hoyle, Tanner developed an underground drainage system that carries the stormwater runoff down both sides of the path to a stormwater detention tank. The detention tank was designed to store and allow the slow discharge of the stormwater into the City’s stormwater collection system.

The project also included the addition of trees and new planting beds as well as the rehabilitation of existing planting beds; addition of decorative lighting; and new streetscape amenities including benches, waste receptacles, and a bicycle rack along the path. Hoyle, Tanner and our subconsultant, TK Landscaping, reused the existing marble sculptures as well as added new pieces to the park.
