Project Summary

Hoyle, Tanner’s Structural Group designed renovations for an existing timber-framed terminal as well as a new structural steel-framed addition. The addition accommodated a tall curtain wall system, a curved roof, cantilevered canopies, and a central rotunda which were all designed to enhance the arrival experience for passengers visiting the Acadia National Park region.

A seismic evaluation of the existing timber framed terminal was completed to justify wood framed additions to improve baggage handling and other daily airport operations. Secured waiting areas, and other special requirements were incorporated for the Transportation Security Association.
