To meet National Bridge Inspection Standard (NBIS) requirements, Hoyle, Tanner was retained by NHDOT to perform a Fracture Critical (FC) Member inspection for the above deck portion of the I-95 High Level Bridge. The inspection was completed during a scheduled shutdown of one lane in each direction over a single weekend. Two teams of NBIS and Fracture Critical Certified Inspectors completed the inspection utilizing two-125’ articulated lifts which were required to reach the top of the arch over 100’ above the deck level. All FC members were inspected at arms-length and a detailed inspection report prepared.
