Hoyle, Tanner Selected for Four New On-Call Airport Engineering and Planning Service Contracts

Hoyle, Tanner was recently selected for four new on-call airport engineering and planning service contracts at:

Barnstable Municipal Airport, Hyannis, MA – Airport Planning
Connecticut Airport Authority, Windsor Locks, CT – Airport Engineering
Daytona Beach International Airport, Daytona, FL – Airport Planning and Engineering
Winter Haven’s Gilbert Airport, Winter Haven, FL – Airport Planning and Engineering

Barnstable Municipal Airport is Cape Cod’s regional airport and gateway to Nantucket and Boston, as well as Martha’s Vineyard and New York in season. Hoyle, Tanner was selected to study and recommend whether the airport should provide improved facilities and amenities to operators of private aircraft and, thereby, increasing general aviation business. The report will include a cost-benefit analysis and advice on whether new or renovated facilities are needed.

The Connecticut Airport Authority was established in July 2011 to develop, improve and operate Bradley International Airport and the State’s five general aviation airports (Danielson, Groton-New London, Hartford-Brainard, Waterbury-Oxford, and Windham airports). Hoyle, Tanner was chosen as one of three on-call Architectural & Engineering consultants who will provide Airfield Planning and Design services for the Authority. Hoyle, Tanner is currently scoping two airfield pavement improvement projects for Fiscal Year 2014. We are proud to be working alongside with this new client.

Daytona Beach International Airport is a growing small hub airport that is positioned well to pull potential passengers from Orlando International and Orlando Sanford airports to secondary markets within the US. The existing terminal and airside facilities provide the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the increased traffic. Our team will provide the expertise to maintain the airside facilities as well as assist in enhancing the landside facilities to service the public needs.

Hoyle, Tanner was chosen to join the City of Winter Haven in helping the airport to enhance its airside and landside capacities and to assist the City in procuring grants to strengthen the airport infrastructure. The busy general aviation Airport’s goal is to increase the business jet traffic while continuing to support the recreational flight activity at the airport. Hoyle, Tanner’s success at similar airports in Florida will assist the City in reaching their goals.
