Christopher Mulleavey Elected President of NH Good Roads Association

We are pleased to announce that our President and CEO, Christopher Mulleavey, PE, was elected to serve as President of the NH Good Roads Association for 2022 -2023.

Larry Major, the outgoing president of NHGRA, said in his Spring 2022 newsletter, “I would like to congratulate our incoming President Chris Mulleavey — he has been a great Board member and vice president. The organization is in good hands with Chris at the helm!”

Chris joined the NH Good Roads Board in 2013 and has served two terms as a director and the past a two as an officer. He contributes to the association’s mission for encouraging the development of a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound highway system in New Hampshire. During his time on the board, he has been an active board member and serves on several standing committees to further the board’s mission.

As President of the board, Chris wants to carry on the long-standing traditions of the board while also finding new ways to create value for the membership and to provide a stronger voice for the association in our industry. We find our industry in a very unique and challenging time: coming out of a two-year long pandemic; the supply and demand issues relative to construction costs and materials; and more importantly, labor shortages facing not only our industry but all those in supporting industries as well. As an industry, we have succeeded through difficult times and Chris is confident that we will overcome and persevere through these unique times as well. New innovations and technological applications – as well as strong organizations, such as NHGRA – can and will make the difference.

NHGRA members come from every part of New Hampshire, and the association regularly hosts events like the annual golf tournament and the Equipment Showcase Open. These events are integral to the association, as they help fundraise for the organization and scholarships but also offer members a chance to share ideas and strategies.

Since 1904, the New Hampshire Good Roads Association’s mission has been to encourage the development of a safe, efficient and environmentally-sound highway transportation system in New Hampshire. The association works through its members and other organizations to achieve this goal. Our members come from all parts of the state and region and includes both individuals concerned about the safety of New Hampshire highways, and businesses with direct and indirect involvement in the policies and programs that impact the maintenance and construction of New Hampshire’s roads.

Please join us in congratulating Chris on his achievement!
