Scott Free Road Safety Improvements

St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands

 

Existing commuter routes on St. Thomas to the west end of the island are seeing heavy traffic during rush hour. The USVI Government decided to explore the possible upgrade of a common shortcut (Scott Free Rod) to a major arterial.

The study also considered whether it is preferable to improve Scott Free Road for safe two-way traffic along its entire length, or whether to incorporate adjacent roadways into a one-way loop for a portion of its length.
