Unique Features:

Utilized timber bridge and approach rail which allowed the
replacement structure to blend into the woodland environment of
the site

Improved severe “S” curve alignment over the bridge

Poor soil conditions required cofferdams and deep excavation to
remove and replace poor soil strata with structural fill
|
Project Highlights:
 |
New superstructure consisted of five 21” deep prestressed
concrete deck beams, cast-in-place concrete overlay, asphalt
wearing surface, cast-in-place concrete brush curbs, and timber
bridge railings |
 |
New substructure consisted of cast-in-place concrete cantilever
abutments and wingwalls |
