The UNH team of six students will be provided with
the base plan survey, hydraulic information, soil boring information and
other project design criteria to prepare their own design. A series of
check-point meetings will be held in the spring 2011 semester with
Hoyle, Tanner personnel to guide the team, however, the design will be
the responsibility of the student team. A final design
presentation will be held near the end of the semester where the student
team can present their design for critique by the professional
engineering team. Hoyle, Tanner will then present the actual design
which was eventually constructed to the students so that a comparison
can be made between the designs. We are excited for this opportunity to
work with an energetic team of future engineers. It is our belief that
this exercise will not only be a valuable learning experience for the
students, but for the professionals as well. |
