Matt Low, P.E. Makes Truss Presentation at Historic Bridge Conference

Hoyle, Tanner’s Bridge and Structures Group Manager Matthew J. Low, P.E. made a presentation to over 120 engineers, historians, permitting specialists and historic bridge enthusiasts at a conference held at the New Hampshire Department of Transportation on December 8, 2011.  The conference, entitled “Historic Bridge Preservation Made Easy” was sponsored by ACEC-NH and NHDOT, in conjunction with the New Hampshire Division of Historic Resources (NHDHR).  As part of the mitigation for the removal of the Memorial Bridge, a nationally recognizable historic landmark, NHDOT is sponsoring educational opportunities to enhance the understanding of the processes involved in the preservation of historic bridge structures.  The conference included presentations by national experts in the field of historic resource research, historic bridge rehabilitation engineering, and other topics.  Matt was pleased to be included in this group and made a presentation on the recent and highly successful rehabilitation of the Ramsdell Road Truss Bridge in Henniker, New Hampshire.  Click on the link provided below to view the presentation.
