Sanford Regional Airport Expresses Appreciation

The Sanford Regional Airport Advisory Committee recently presented Hoyle, Tanner with a plaque honoring its “outstanding support to aviation and commitment to the spirit of community”.  This plaque was presented to Hoyle, Tanner Project Manager, David Guadalupe, P.E. at a recent committee meeting.  Committee Chairman, Jim Dougherty, praised Hoyle, Tanner for supporting the Airport’s annual open house and for the company’s steadfast support of the Airport and community since the 1970’s.  The Committee also thanked Mr. Guadalupe for successfully managing several key projects in recent years, such as the $2.3 million expansion and reconstruction of the east ramp, construction of taxilanes and site work for private sector hangars, slurry seal of the east ramp, and new security fencing between the Airport and Route 109.

Mr. Guadalupe and the Hoyle, Tanner team also played a major role in the planning, engineering, and permitting of development on the west side of the Airport.  This includes a new master plan update, which adds much needed hangar space, and support for the proposed Oxford Aviation, Sanford Jet Division facility.  This aircraft finishing facility, worth over $8 million, is a major public-private partnership that is projected to create up to 200 new jobs for the community.
